Sixteen students from Years 7 and 10 recently enjoyed an extraordinary musical opportunity, performing across three sold-out concerts at the Sydney Opera House alongside the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and The Cat Empire.
The concerts featured an exciting and diverse repertoire, from upbeat favourites such as Two Shoes to the more challenging and moving Be with You Again and Miserere. SCEGGS choristers also had the special opportunity to be part of the debut performance of The Cat Empire’s newest song, Ballet.
For the students, the experience was about much more than singing. They embraced the choreography, made new friends, and performed alongside some of Australia’s most talented musicians in one of the world’s most iconic venues.
