The appointment for the new Deputy Head of School has been made, and we are delighted to announce that it is current Director of Curriculum, Andrew Gallagher. He will be commencing in January 2026 and is replacing Holly Gyton when she takes over as Head.
Andrew has been Director of Curriculum at SCEGGS since 2012 and was Head of History and a Year Co-ordinator at SCEGGS for a number of years before that. He brings a depth of knowledge about curriculum and wellbeing to the role of Deputy, a wide knowledge of all areas of SCEGGS, a strategic focus, and a great love for and commitment to SCEGGS and its values.
Andrew is held in the highest regard at SCEGGS by staff, parents and girls. With shared strength, care and vision Andrew will work superbly to support Holly, and help to take SCEGGS to the next level from 2026 and beyond so that the School will continue to thrive.
