We are proud to celebrate the recent sporting achievements of two of our students, who have represented themselves and SCEGGS with great distinction.
Matilda Emanuel was selected by Athletics Australia to compete in the Women’s 800m at the Hobart Track Classic as part of the World Athletics Continental Tour. The meet featured many of Australia’s top athletes, including Paris 2024 Olympians and Paralympians. Competing in a strong field, Matilda finished 7th out of 11 competitors and ran an impressive personal best time of 2:08.15, also achieving the World Junior qualifying time for the 800m.
Meanwhile, Emily Snow achieved outstanding results at the Nippers State Championships in Newcastle, earning a Silver Medal in the U13 Female Flags and a Gold Medal in the U13 Mixed Beach Relay.
These achievements reflect their dedication and hard work, and we congratulate both Matilda and Emily on their excellent performances.
