Lead Service Desk Technician
Applications are invited from experienced Service Desk Technicians for this lead role in our ICT Team. This is a full-time permanent onsite position commencing as soon as possible.
SCEGGS invests appropriately in technology to support the education and business technology needs of the School. Students in Years K-3 have access to a range of devices including laptops and iPads, with girls from Year 4 onwards having access to a Windows laptop on a 1:1 basis. The School uses a range of industry leading technologies including Microsoft, Apple, JAMF and VMWare as well as a variety of integrated cloud-hosted solutions.
Working under the guidance of the Service Desk Manager, the Lead ICT Service Desk Technician will provide the SCEGGS community with fast and effective solutions to ICT service requests, incidents and problems. They will play a leading role in supporting the School’s 1:1 device program, classroom audio visual systems and software applications. As a technical escalation point for other team members, prior experience and contemporary technical knowledge are essential, as are clear communication skills to enable the provision of advice and guidance to other staff where required, and to ensure the timely resolution of support cases.
The successful applicant will have a can-do, customer-focused attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills. As a good team player, they will welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively within a diverse, dynamic and fun environment. Demonstrated experience in customer service, a technical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure are key requirements, as are the core values of punctuality, integrity, respect and a commitment to ongoing improvement.
