The Secondary School Inter-House Athletics Carnival was recently held, with students enjoying a day of spirited competition, House pride and impressive athletic performances.
Despite the threat of rain, fine weather set the scene for an exciting carnival, with several longstanding records broken across the track and field events. Highlights included record-breaking performances in the 100m by Stasia Serafin, the 800m by Beatrice Emanuel, High Jump by Sarah James, and the 4 x 100m House Relay team of Georgina Auld, Stella Brenton, Beatrice Emanuel and Stasia Serafin.
Congratulations to Christian House, who were crowned overall champions after a closely contested day of competition. Students across all year groups demonstrated determination, resilience and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the carnival.
Individual achievements were also celebrated, with strong performances across all events. The atmosphere throughout the day reflected the enthusiasm and support of our SCEGGS community, making the carnival a memorable occasion for students and staff alike.
