The SCEGGS curriculum in Years 7 – 10, while meeting necessary mandatory requirements, is designed to be rich, challenging and engaging for each of our students.

Every girl is unique and will experience different learning needs at different times. Most importantly, every girl needs to experience challenge and success to build resilience and wellbeing.

All SCEGGS teaching and learning programs are designed to meet the needs of the range of students that are present in the classroom. Programs will include enrichment, extension and consolidation activities. Some girls will complete different work on the same topic area, while others may cover additional material.

A variety of teaching strategies are also used including research tasks, small and large group discussion, ICT based tasks, co-operative learning strategies, practical work and oral presentations to name a few. The many different strategies used are designed to deepen the learning experience and provide vital skills to the girls as they grow as learners.
