Information for teachers interested in
casual teaching at SCEGGS

Enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers who are interested in being added to the school’s Casual Teacher Register for the year will first need to submit an Expression of Interest. This expression of interest should include:

  • A cover letter: which clearly states whether you are trained as a Primary Teacher or a Secondary Teacher (including the subjects you are qualified to teach). It should also include your full name, contact details and a brief indication of your current availability for different sorts of casual positions eg daily casual, short blocks etc

  • CV: which should include your qualifications, teaching experience, current WWC Check number, date of birth, NESA Teacher Accreditation Number and any other relevant details

  • Referees: The names and contact details of two confidential referees

Expressions of Interest to join the school’s Casual Teacher Register should be emailed as a single PDF document and should be no more than 5 pages long.

In the event that we require additional casual teachers in specific areas during the course of the year, we will be in touch with the most suitably qualified teachers from this register to discuss the next steps.

All permanent teaching positions are advertised separately on our website and require a separate application addressing the criteria outlined in the advertisement. To be notified when such an opportunity arises, please provide your contact details and area(s) of expertise on our Future Opportunities form.
