Co-curricular activities are an essential part of a SCEGGS education. They provide many different opportunities for our girls to develop new skills in different contexts, to discover new interests, to form new friendships outside their peer group and to learn important life skills such as collaboration and leadership skills – and most importantly, they are fun! All students are encouraged to participate in a range of co-curricular activities which interest them. These are held at lunchtimes as well as before and after school each day.

While involvement in Saturday Sport is strongly encouraged, it is not compulsory. Girls in teams are required to attend practices each week. Other physical activities such as fitness, swimming and Pilates are available too.

SCEGGS is a member of many inter-school organisations such as IGSSA (Independent Girls’ Schools Sporting Association), IPSHA (Independent Primary School Heads Association), and ISDA (Independent Schools Debating Association) to list just a few.
