Reconciliation at SCEGGS is a deeply held commitment to acknowledging past injustices, respecting cultural differences, and fostering genuine understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. The school has taken meaningful steps, including developing a Reconciliation Action Plan, creating RAP Committees, marking key cultural weeks, and embedding First Nations perspectives across the curriculum. SCEGGS is also working to build stronger relationships with local Indigenous communities and provide culturally safe spaces for students and families. Through these efforts, the school aims to be a genuinely more inclusive, respectful environment where students can play a vital role in reconciliation efforts between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
