SCEGGS Career Education
An important goal of the Careers Department at SCEGGS Darlinghurst is ensuring that Year 10-12 girls are well-prepared, well-informed and aware of the most up to date opportunities available to them.
The Careers Adviser and the Careers Room provides a wealth of information about a diverse range of work experience programs as well as post school opportunities, ranging from further study to GAP programs, scholarships, cadetships or employment opportunities.
Year 10 Work Experience
All Year 10 students learn essential skills relating to constructing resumes and interviewing tips. Year 10 also participate in a week-long Work Experience program in a field of their choice.
Years 11 and 12
The Careers Adviser also works particularly closely with all Year 11 and 12 girls to assist them in making decisions for their immediate future. Many guest speakers from universities, exchange programs and cadetships are also organised to speak with the girls throughout the year.
