Old Girls’ Careers Evening 2026

Old Girls’ Careers Evening 2026

More than 50 SCEGGS Old Girls returned to School for the biennial Old Girls’ Careers Evening, sharing their experiences and advice with over 150 current students and parents. Representing an extraordinary range of industries and professions – from urban planning, education, and mechanical engineering to entrepreneurship, medicine, veterinary science, and the arts – alumni spoke candidly about the many different pathways a career can take.

Throughout the evening, Old Girls reflected not only on their professional journeys, but also on the personal experiences that shaped them along the way. Students heard insights about career pivots, further study, volunteering, moving cities, balancing work and family life, and navigating a rapidly changing world shaped by AI.

Most importantly, alumni encouraged students to embrace uncertainty, remain open to opportunity and not be discouraged by setbacks or challenges.

We are very grateful to our alumni community for continuing to inspire and support the next generation of SCEGGS students.
