SCEGGS’ first major production of the year, Girl Asleep, delighted audiences across its sold-out four-performance season from Wednesday to Saturday last week in the Black Box Theatre.
Following a highly successful opening night, audience members responded with enthusiastic applause and praise for the cast and crew, whose creativity, energy and professionalism brought the imaginative coming-of-age story to life. Directed by Old Girl Ms Poppy Lynch (2015), the production showcased the talents of students from Years 7 to 11, who delivered engaging and accomplished performances throughout the run.
The production was further enhanced by the expertise of Ms Eddi Goodfellow as Technical Designer and Ms Anna Gardner as Set and Costume Designer..
With every performance at capacity, Girl Asleep was a wonderful celebration of student talent, collaboration and storytelling. Congratulations to the cast, crew and creative team on a memorable and successful production.
