Primary Students Shine at da Vinci Decathlon

Recently, two SCEGGS Primary teams competed in the annual da Vinci Decathlon, taking on a full day of challenging and creative problem-solving across a range of disciplines.

Students competed in areas including Mathematics, English, Science, Ideation, Cartography, Code Breaking, Engineering, Art and Poetry, and Creative Producers. The competition tested both academic ability and teamwork, with students collaborating under pressure to solve complex problems and complete creative challenges.

The Year 6 team achieved outstanding results, placing second in Ideation, as well as securing strong performances in Mathematics, Science and English. The Year 5 team also impressed, finishing in the top 10 for both Engineering and English, and receiving a special mention for excellent collaboration.

Both teams embraced the competitive spirit of the day and represented SCEGGS with enthusiasm, creativity and determination throughout the event.
