Congratulations to Pippa (Year 12) and Siena (Year 8), who both achieved first place in their divisions at the Rostrum Voice of Youth State Finals recently.
The competition attracted approximately 900 students from across New South Wales, making this an outstanding achievement. As State Champions, Pippa and Siena have now earned the opportunity to represent New South Wales at the National Finals, where the top four students from each division compete on behalf of their state.
Their success is the result of many hours of dedication, including researching and writing speeches, refining their delivery and developing their impromptu speaking skills. Throughout the competition, both students demonstrated exceptional confidence, critical thinking and communication abilities.
The National Finals will be held on Saturday 25 July at the Independent Theatre in North Sydney. We wish Pippa and Siena every success as they prepare for the next stage of the competition and proudly represent SCEGGS on the national stage.
